Monthly Report Dec 2016

SASI Results: – Sasi (School assessment for School improvement) is an institute which conducted 2nd survey in the school this year in September. Sasi has published their report and we are delighted to announce that school results were upright and there was huge improvement seen particularly in Science, Math and Urdu subjects.

All the suggestions for further improvements were sent to the School which are being considered by management to tackle remaining gaps in year 2017.

Our Proud sponsor “Association for the Development Pakistan” coordinated with SASI team to visit APS in Mid-September. Sasi Team met parents, students/school staff and some tests were conducted. Here are couple of pics of Sasi team visit in the school.

Mid-term Exams: – School Mid-term exams were conducted in Dec and overall marks ratio produced is above 70%.

School Lawn: – The school lawn looks lush green and new plants looking in great shape. 🙂

Funds:- We are closing this year with the total amount raised through donation as 10,177 Euros in Year 2016.

Monthly Report Nov 2016

Bathroom Construction: – 4 bathrooms construction was completed in the month of Nov, Construction was started in October by demolishing 2 old bathrooms . This brings the total number of bathrooms to 5.

Paint Work: – Our sponsored Block Memhood Hassan Block was completed earlier this year and paint work completed by Nov for this newly built block which comprises of 4 class rooms.

Mehmood Hassan Block is sponsored by Rizwan Butt and family in the memory of their Loving father who himself studied in the light of street lamps. Rizwan came himself from UK for the block opening ceremony.

Middle Section Roof Repair: – Some Waterlogging was observed during rains on top of the middle section. Some slopes were built along with drainage system for the roof top which will help the situation now.

Monthly Report April 2016

Mehmood Hassan Block:- There was a massive milestone achieved in the month of April 2016, when there was an official opening of the Mehmood Hassan Block which comprises of 4 rooms which were built after demolishing 2 old rooms.

Mehmood Hassan Block is sponsored by Rizwan Butt and family in the memory of their Loving father who himself studied in the light of street lamps. Rizwan came himself from UK for the block opening ceremony.

The Block added contains 4 rooms which were built after demolishing 2 old rooms.

School annual program:- Like every year APS students came up with some ideas on performances which were entertaining and creative too. The annual Program was held on the same day when there was an official opening of the Block and our sponsor Rizwan Butt and family, Guests from local community were our special guests for this ceremony.

 

Funds:- APS Pakistan received $3425 from intel corporation as matching grant.

In picture below, Sonia O’Sullivan (Irish Former Athlete – European/World champion) and Intel Corporate Affairs Manger Leonard Hobbs awarding Intel annual Matching Grant to Amir Public School Rep Michael Moran.

The funds raised in April were 3175 when converted to euros bringing YTD Funds amount 8572 Euros

Monthly Report March 2016

Chair APS”Amir” spent most of the March and April Months in the school in Pakistan, Following are some highlights
Parents meeting session: – This interactive session was held among Amir and Parents of the kids. The Topics like parental support to the school management, Girls Education awareness and exchange of ideas and suggestions took place. This was followed by some 1:1 with parents.
School Results: – The school results were announced on 31st March in the school. The overall Passing rate was 96%. Where the kids were awarded with trophies, some of the parents were given medals too.


Construction Update: – The 4 class rooms block “Mahmood Hassan Block” is almost ready. This section is expected to be fully completed by mid-April for the opening ceremony on 15th April. Details to follow.


Funds: – Punjab Education Foundation ongoing funding and another contribution from our regular donor made it 300 Euros in the month of March.

Monthly Report May 2016

Women Mini Marathon Campaign 2016:- Patricia runs in mini marathon every year in the aid of the school and raises the valuable funds each yea. This year Patricia will be putting her running shoes on 1st week of June for this 10 KM Run.

Dublin Women Mini Marathon is the biggest all women’s event of its kind in the world. It has grown from its beginnings in 1983 with almost 9,000 participants to a staggering 40000 plus women participating now.

Patricia has raised 1605 Euros this year in the aid of the school this year.

Funds: – After Patricia’s running Campaign, we managed to raise 1605 euros this year. We have raised 10,177 Euros YTD.

 

Summer Vacations: – School goes off on vacation in May, This opportunity will be used to paint the newly developed block in the school and there is also a need to build 2 more bathrooms.
