APS Founder passed away:- It is with great sadness that we announce the death of APS Founder Miss Laviza k lal. Who passed away at the age of 80 on February 10th. This strong woman who planted the seed of APS 40 years back have provided education to thousands of children of surroundings.

Miss laviza has been a great role model and inspiration for the women around in this rural area. She is gone but will always live in our hearts and through the established institute in the form of APS. Her selfless contribution to the community will live forever.

Chairman APS meets the parents: – Chairman Amir visited Pakistan to pay tribute to the founder, a teacher and a mother (Miss laviza K-Lal). During the visit, Amir met various parents groups to share the future plans of the institute. Amir also worked on mentorship of the students who have been graduated from the school and being sponsored by the institute for higher studies.

 

Final exams:- School final exams started by the end of February. Students will be promoted to the next grade In March and new admissions will be opened then.

Monthly Report Nov 2021

APS Fundraiser: – Currently school offers scholarships to the limited students for high school and post high school studies.

Now, we want to establish the High school so We can give opportunity to our all the middle Pass students to continue their higher studies in house high school.

For this We require 2 more Classrooms to accommodate class 9 and class 10th, Science LAB and Multimedia Library.

School Office renovation: – Renovation of the school office was long overdue. We have bought new furniture for the school by now which comprises of 6 single seat sofas, 2 chairs, 1 office chair along with Table and a cupboard.

 

School furniture: – The overall repair work for the school furniture is on way. The school desks need to be repaired and repainted. Here is before and after pictures for some of these where work has been completed.

School visits: – Thanks to our visitors from UK for spending some time with school staff and school children. Naila Joseph, Naeem Malik and Davis William can be seen here having some conversation with the students and treating them with yummy chocolates and candies.

 

Children Immunization shots: – Children of the school and surrounding locality received the Vaccination shots for Measles and Rubella in November. APS coordinated this while working with local Health authorities.

Higher studies Scholarships: – The continuity of the education should not and does not stop for the Students from the school who graduate from the middle school of APS.

For higher studies we have been working with students to continue their education (Huge thanks to our sponsors).  We managed to secure the scholarships for all candidates in 2021, however we have one more request came in for one deserving female student who wants to pursue her BS after her 1st grade FSC clearance. Annual Results of former APS Students: – Our Former students who are being sponsored are doing great in FSC and matriculation results. Here is an excellent news to share from APS sponsored Female student who scored 100% in her matric exams. We will be mentoring and facilitating Noor for her future studies.

School Extension: – This is the time to start working on school extension to high School and build a library. Having high school within the premises will give us great advantage to accommodate more students within the school. We have a plan to build multimedia library too. The fund raising campaign will be starting soon. If you want to be part of this worthy future plan in any capacity. Please let me know. You can be a donner and fund raiser or event organizer. Monthly Report Sep 2021

Post Covid continuation: – School is back running operations after random Covid related shutdowns in Schools in Pakistan. The safety precautions are being taken on daily basis with heightened awareness on hygienic needs of our students and school staff.

September Tests: – These are mid-term exams where more than 50% of the syllabus is covered. Here you can feel some pressure on our little champs. 😊

 

More Land secured for the school: – We have purchased a piece of land adjoining the existing premises. This will enable us to execute School future extensions and will be available as the Playground for the School kids. More than 3000 Sq Feet land was secured for this. Here are couple of pictures of the land along with a tree house built by Village children.

Monthly Report Dec 2019

A year in review:-

Lets take a moment to celebrate the achievements we had throughout the year in 2019. Following are some major wins.

Securing Sponsorship for 2019:-

We secured the scholarships for the following students who are going to various private institutes this year.

  • Ali Abbas Pre-Medical FSC in Aspire Collage (PVT) Gujranwala. Ali wants to be a doctor
  • Aman Aslam: – Hijab Collage Pvt in Grade 10. Aman wants to be an Engineer
  • Ayasha Abid: – 1st year FSC Pre-Medical Hijab Collage Pvt, Ayasha wants to be Doctor in future.
  • Komal Abid: – Grade 10 Hijab Collage Pvt, Komal who is sister of Aisha also wants to pursue medical field in future.
  • Rishna Nasir: – Rishna is in 3rd semester of Software Engineering in Gift Unv (PVT). She wants to be a software Engineer.

Two more 8th graders secured the governmental scholarships later this year.

By the end of the year, We have 345 enrolled students within the school.

Board results and School Results: – APS held the record of 100% passing rate for class 5 and class 8th Board exams in year 2019 as well. This is 7th consecutive year producing 100% results. Thanks to our hardworking staff and students, Class 8 was graduated from the school with 73% average marks ratio this year. There are some pictures of Prize distribution ceremony below.

School Repairs and paint job:-

The walls were badly rusted as it has been good few years since the whole school was painted. Whole school was re-painted. Some repairs were carried out to fix the damage done to the roof tops of a class rooms due to the rain’s Water lodge.

Chair APS visited the school in November and School Annual program was held on November 16th, there were different performances prepared by the school students like tablos, speeches, Stay Plays and singing. The audience and participants loved the whole pregame and enjoyed to the fullest.

School Annual Program: – School Annual program was held on November 16th, there were different performances prepared by the school students like tablos, speeches, Stay Plays and singing. The audience and participants loved the whole pregame and enjoyed to the fullest.

Meeting Parents: – November 18th. Meeting held with parents of the school children in Amir Public School. Feedback, the challenges, future plans and solutions were discussed. This interactive meeting would help us to align the priorities for Year 2020. Few Pictures Taken from the meeting below.

Meeting Staff and sponsored students: – During his visit to Pakistan, Chair APS(Amir) met the School staff and worked on various requirements, training plans and usage of technology while teaching.

Amir also met the students who passed out from APS and being sponsored in Private collage/universities currently. There was some mentorship done with students to discuss their career paths.

1st term Exams: – School 1st Term exams started in September, In October results came with ~70% marks ratio for overall school. Here are some pictures from the tests.

Summer Vacation: – The school is closed during the month of Summer. But let us share some news on the Matriculation results on APS sponsored students.

Aisha Abid tops the school: – Our brilliant student Aisha Abid was being sponsored for high schooling by APS donor Haroon Mirza. Aisha scored 1002 out of 1100 numbers. She has scored the scholarship for her FSC pre-Med. Aisha wants to be a doctor. Here is her little video message.

 

Sponsor needed: – Ali Abbas passed matriculation with Grade A. Ali’s education was sponsored throughout matriculation from Primary schooling. Ali has a story full of resilience showing strong determination. Ali has taken admission into a provide collage where he was provided more than 50% discount for collage fee. Further details will be shared with the sponsor.

Monthly Report June 2019

APS Youngest teacher: – Abigail Malik from USA who is also daughter of APS chair visits the school in June and spends some time with the students. Abi is 9 years old and enjoyed her teaching experience with the students of APS. She shared her experience from American school and methodology to learn Math and science. Here are some pictures students welcoming her and a short video.

School Summer vacation: – Without a doubt, summer in Pakistan is hot & most anticipated season of the year. The Schools go on vacation in June/July and mid-august. this also gives an opportunity to the students to focus on extra circular activities and visit their distant relatives. We wish all the best to the students to spend lovely time on summer vacation.

Monthly Report May 2019

Funds: – APS received annual grant from Intel corporation. This annual grant matches the volunteer hours spent by Intel employees for the cause. We received 9130$ this year.

We also received 311$ from Facebook on a birthday fundraiser appeal.  20$ from an individual Donner. Will also donated. This makes 9461$ funds raised in May 2019 and total of 1172$ raised Year to date.

Summer Vacation: – School starting the summer vacation at the start of the June.
